Here, after long planning, an observatory with a very distinctive character has been realized. The setup is based on a GM 3000 HPS with a Baader steel pier. This stable base still leaves plenty of room for additional payload; the TEC 180 FL does not fully utilize the capacity of the mount, but it is the appropriate main telescope for visual observation and photography for this observatory. In parallel, several smaller telescopes are also mounted, for example for solar observation.
The valuable equipment is protected by a 3.2 m Baader dome in classic design, prepared for remote operation should this be desired in the future.
Together with the consistently planned and lovingly furnished building, the dream of an amateur astronomer has been realized here.
