Sternwarte Inselheim Rüstringen

In 2002/2003, we installed a complete observatory on the island of Wangerooge that can be remotely controlled via the Internet. The organization responsible for this observatory is the local school camp.

Here, the instrument combination consists of:

• Zeiss 150 mm APQ refractor with 1200 mm focal length
• Zeiss AS 80 mm refractor with 840 mm focal length
• Celestron C14

An SBIG ST-10 XME is used as the CCD camera, which, like the telescope and the dome, can also be controlled via the Internet.

The instrument — mounted on a Software Bisque Paramount ME — stands in a 3.2 m dome (Version II, slit opening 1.15 m). The dome can, of course, also be remotely controlled in all functions via software and the Internet.
